Bot Permissions

Use this page when Grimoire can see commands but cannot post messages, create channels, assign roles, or moderate users.

Likely Causes​

  • Missing channel permission override
  • Missing bot role permission
  • Grimoire's role is below a target role
  • Module needs an intent that is not enabled

Exact Fixes​

  • Grant View Channels, Send Messages, and Embed Links in configured channels.
  • Grant Manage Roles for role assignment systems.
  • Move Grimoire's highest role above roles it assigns or removes.
  • Grant Manage Channels for tickets and statistic channels.
  • Grant Moderate Members for timeouts.
  • Grant Ban Members only when using Dangerous Admin Tools.

Common Symptoms​

  • "The bot cannot assign roles"
  • "Ticket channel was not created"
  • "Log embed does not post"
  • "Anti-spam timeout does not work"
